The Simple Scents was first established in 2017 when Aghabi was pregnant with her first son, Samuel. She was looking for body creams for her growing baby belly that were safe, healthy, and made with ingredients she could pronounce. After looking on the shelves and coming up empty handed, she, along with her sister Mary, began researching ingredients that were baby friendly, and healing for the skin. After formulating a recipe they loved, they began gifting their flagship product, Whipped Body Butter, to family and friends over the 2017 holiday season. Demand grew and the shop, The Simple Scents, was born and organically continues to grow, providing an essential luxury.
